Well done to all our fantastic athletes, who represented Scoil Naomh Eltin so well at MTU in the annual Cork City Sports competition this year. On Friday June 02nd 2023, Scoil Naomh Eltin held our Jersey Day. Proceeds from this event raised €705.00. Thank you to all who supported this worthy cause.
There was a clash of loyalties between Ms Fahy and some of the girls in Rang a 6 today. The girls will be cheering on the Cork footballers as they take on Kerry in Pairc Uí Caoimh. However, Ms Fahy is confident that the men from the Kingdom will get the win.

Huge Congratulations to Second Class A who performed at Cork's City Hall for "Europe Day" 2023, a celebration of our membership of the European Union. Second Class were also presented with an award on the day, for winning the first ever Europe Day Song Competition. Well done boys and girls! Having already won the South-East qualifying sections in Carrigaline, today the boys' soccer team competed in the Cork County Finals of the FAI Primary 5s Competition in Irish Independent Park.
Today's results saw them first winning 1-0 against Gaelscoil Cloich na Coillte, losing the 2nd game against St. Patrick's and then drawing the 3rd game against Ballinora NS 0-0 to qualify for the semi-finals. Here, after a valiant effort, the team lost against Newcestown 4-1 having lead 1-0 at half-time. The boys represented Scoil Naomh Eltin admirably, doing themselves proud with some spirited performances and playing some strong, high-quality football. The 4th, 5th and 6th classes were there to support the team and the boost their encouragement gave the players was palpable. On the soccer front in Scoil Naomh Eltin, attention now turns to the annual end-of-year indoor Soccer League for both boys and girls. Well done again lads, Scoil Naomh Eltin abú! |
